Dr Kalpesh Prajapat

Kalpesh graduated from Liverpool Dental School in 2016 with distinctions and several academic awards, and went on to consultant led postgraduate training at Birmingham Dental Hospital in implant dentistry, oral surgery, sedation and restorative dentistry. He holds the MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Diploma in Clinical Dentistry, and continues to train with leading clinicians in the UK and internationally.

He won Young Aesthetic Dentist (North) at the Clinical Dentistry Awards 2023, was Highly Commended for Best Young Dentist at the Private Dentistry Awards 2019, and was shortlisted as a finalist for Best Young Dentist at both The Dentistry Awards and the Private Dentistry Awards in 2020. His cosmetic and implant work has appeared on ITV alongside Olivia Attwood in The Price of Perfection, and in The Sun, Metro and Asiana. He teaches as a tutor on the University of Brighton and Sussex Medical School implantology diploma and as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Brighton Medical School, has published in peer reviewed journals, and co founded iwanttobeadentist.com, an educational platform for future dentists.

For nervous patients he is a qualified sedation dentist, providing both inhalation and intravenous sedation, and one of a small number of UK dentists to hold a certificate in dental phobia. More than a decade of treating anxious adults and children shaped the way LUSSO was designed: a lounge before a surgery, a conversation before an examination, and a pace set by the patient.
